Blog : Second Day of Shooting
Welcome back to my blog! Today I will give an update on what our group has been working on.
First I want to talk about our second day of filming. Our extras were busy on that day (Monday), so just the four of us showed up. Due to this, we couldn't film some of the scenes of the sleepover party. Instead we just worked on - and thankfully finished - all of our title sequence shots. We took a long time trying and working to make each and every shot perfect. It was also difficult because we needed it to be dark for almost every scene, meaning we could not start filming until AFTER 6:00 pm. We had some fails (such as the "sorry" scene) and some new ideas (lighting candles) that worked really well. The "sorry" scene we attempted at by putting ketchup and jelly on plastic and then holding it up. This did not work as it completely crumbled down. The pool scene of Madison (Me) drowning was also difficult to film - we took what felt like 1000 takes - but it was worth it as we thankfully ended up with a good shot.
Next I want to talk about our plans for the rest that we brainstormed on our second day of shooting. We are currently working together to see who can pick up the equipment again, as our week already ended. Once we get the equipment, we plan that we only need one more day with all of us (including extras) to finish capturing all of the needed clips. Hopefully we can work this out soon, and I'm sure our movie opening will come out amazing.
