Blog : Sound
To add the sound we will be using Premier Pro. Sofia and I will also use Premier Pro to edit the film, as we have both been in Videography Honors class. Since Sofia and I are doing the big chunk of editing, Aleena and Amaya will be creating some of the sound effects.
Diegetic sound -
Most of our sounds will be diegetic sounds, such as the matches being lit, candles burning, cards being slapped down, cards rustling as they are passed around, and some "murmmer" dialogue between characters. Sofia and I will increase the volume on some of these sounds during certain moment to create suspense and make it more cinematic.
Non Diegetic sound -
Our non diegetic sound is going to be some type of upbeat music. This will be played during the montage of the friends playing the game. This will be used to set the mood of a fun sleepover where the kids are innocent and unsuspecting of what will happen. We are still working on what song exactly to do, as we are struggling with copyright problems as well. We are also struggling with the upbeat music taking away from the scary vibe of the film, which we do not want. Throughout the next editing steps, we will choose a final song and sounds for the film opening.
