Blog : Changes and Updates
Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog, this is post is going to be a little different than the rest. Through the process so far we have been forced to deviate from our original
idea for a variety of reasons. Today I am going to talk about all of the changes and updates we have made to our story, characters, and roles. and costumes!
To start off, we changed the names of our main characters. Originally we were going to just use our name, Sofia, Aleena, Amaya, and Samantha (Me). We have since decided to make up names: Sofia will be Evelyn, Amaya will be Maya, Aleena will be Zara, and I will be Madison. This is a slight change because all of the pervious blogs and story board used our actual names.
Next, we decided our roles in the film production. Aleena is the director, as she directs the creative and artistic aspects of the film. We all hold the role of writer, as we all were part of the original script, and story. Amaya is both the producer and executive producer as she contacted the Shortcuts TV station, will be picking up the materials, and handles those aspects. We are all part of the lead cast, as we are all main characters. Our supporting cast is our extras, Lily (played by Valerie), Emma (played be Haaniya) and Angela (played by Nicole). Sofia is the director of photography because she is interested in the camera angles, shots, and movements that will happen throughout the film. I am the production designer, as the film will be filmed at my home, so I will be setting up the shots and settings. Amaya and I are editors as we will both be the main ones working on the editing itself, (I have premier pro). Finally, we all worked on the costumes.
The final update is that we changed Sofia's character slightly. Our original idea for Evelyn was that she was going to pull a citizen card, but we have changed the script so that she will pull a Queen, doctor role, card instead. We did this so that all four main charcters pull main roles in the MAFIA game.
